Very busy weekend, 2 days off and didn't stop...muscles are soar I seemed to walk for 2 days. No relief on the hormonal front doctor is sending me to a specialist but I don't have much hope from them... I am keeping it natural as possible black cohosh is what I have been using but its not working any more and I tried maca same..night/day sweats etc. continue. So next stop the compound pharmacist that specializes in bio-identical therapy...will keep you posted.
As for eating I'm doing well...helps to be with my daughter that last couple of days as she is on a health kit and getting sugar and wheat out of her life. Hope you are all doing well; now I am off to work for another exciting day :-) can you hear the sarcasm in they typing...LOL
please let me know about the hormonal thing. Along with all my vitamins I take black cohosh and evening primrose oil those are supposed to help - who knows. Have a great day :-)
ReplyDeleteI have heard really good things about the evening primrose oil.
DeleteI just started the evening primrose oil...I got a few hours of relief yesterday...don't know if it was the primrose oil or not. I am try taking before I go to bed also will let you know if it help with the night sweats that are raging through me lately :-)
DeleteHow long have you been taking the Maca? My sister just started it and she was told it takes a few weeks to start noticing a difference.
ReplyDeleteI was taking it for the last 6 weeks along with the black cohosh...I just started yesterday with the evening primrose oil and have stopped the black cohosh and maca...since my systems were getting worse. It's like tuning a moving piano this hormonal stuff...just like our diets there doesn't seem to be one thing you have to try, listen to your body and try again.
DeleteGlad you have your daughter with you and you can do it together! ;)
ReplyDeleteyes..thank you, she makes it fun that's for sure :-)
DeleteHave you thought of going to a Naturopath? I'm thinking about it myself. I want a more thorough analysis of my thyroid health and regular doctors just are not up to speed (unfortunately).
ReplyDeleteYes..I agree the regular doctors are very limited..a naturopath is a very good way to go. I am actually going to a compound pharmacist who specialize in women's health I have gone to him before and he has helped me he was first recommended by a naturopath. I am on the west coast and we have a lot of the natural and alternative health practices available to us, but the MSP or my extended health doesn't cover so it's for the most part out of my of our pocket and funds do get tight and I have to choose carefully where to put the money first. Very frustrating.
