You are right Daisy!!

The other 2 lbs came off...now just stay there or bounce lower :-)

Looks like I have to be strict about my starchy carbs though.  I can't seem to have the 40 grams or the BCF 2 per meal :(  maybe once I have healed my metabolism and get down to my goal weight; but now it's just to much then scale does not move and my energy is low.

I am missing fruit!!   BC has wonderful fruit...all the fresh road side stands are everywhere right now.  I just keep telling myself next summer you can taste them... it's just one summer without.   I plan once I get to my healthy weight I will have some fruit in season occasionally, but it will still be in moderation.   Just stay away this year! the sugar is too much for me right now.    I feel if I start it will just be down hill from there.

  1. Temptations are a slippery slope! I do have to say that last year at this time, I was still on the way down and I did eat quite a few cherries. They were so yummy and didn't seem to stall my progress. You will know what is right for you!

  3. Sandra, we all have a different tolerance for carbs. I believe we all do better on a low carb eating style but what is low for each person is different. I'm also very carb sensitive and need to really watch them to keep losing. I allow 1/4 cup low sugar fruit some days (ie. strawberries in a protein shake or blueberries with breakfast). If you get a chance, listen to this podcast with Jackie Eberstein - she talks about how the scale doesn't tell you the whole story of what's happening in your body (I believe that now) and talks about difficulties as we age and "obstacles to weight loss". I found it very interesting. http://www.askthelowcarbexperts.com/2012/01/1-weight-loss-obstacles-jackie-eberstein/

We've all got this - we just need to keep on going :)

    1. Thanks Trina, I will check it out..it sure is difficult as we age, I agree! But I am still sticking with it. It's just very slow, its never been this hard to reduce. I am down 25.5lbs in 7 months! that's slooooow.

    2. Find something that ways around 25 pounds and see for yourself how much extra weight you are NO LONGER lugging around with you. I know it seems slow but your progress is awesome and the health benefit from it will be priceless :) I’ve lost almost as much as my youngest son weighs and that is incredible to me.

  4. Great job girl, Now you know what is working for you. I used to miss fruit too but not any more as long as I get my berries. Have a good day :-)

  5. Great job!! Don't feel down on your weight loss progress, though. It's 25 pounds you are no longer carrying around, and that is a win! You can't change it.

  6. Good job. Keep it up. I know what you mean about the fruit, but I do think it makes you crave sugary things. I caved in and had a white peach, and I swear it put the sugar carvings back in the spotlight for me. Sending hugs and love!!
